Considering the discussion thus far, the reader should not be surprised by the claim that the development AI has been checkered, particularly the impact of this technology on humans. Advocates argue that tasks can be undertaken more reliably and with precision unavailable in the past (Smith 2015). Persons will be relieved from tedious work and able to devote increased time to creative endeavors. Critics, however, declare this AI poses existential threats to humans and has spawned alienation (Eisikovits 2023).
