Job Enrichment: A Catalyst for Cultivating Learning Organization Dynamics of the Metrology Organization

This study delves into the intricate relationship between job enrichment and the augmentation of learning organization characteristics within the context of Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO). The primary objective was to assess the impact of job enrichment practices on fostering and enhancing the attributes of a learning organization within the JSMO framework. A structured questionnaire was employed as the primary research instrument, distributed among 44 participants, yielding a substantial response rate of 95%. The investigation focused on delineating the nexus between job enrichment initiatives and the advancement of the learning organization paradigm within the JSMO context. The results of the study have also shown that the characteristics of the learning organization, with all its dimensions (continuous learning, promoting discussion and dialogue, empowering individuals, and teamwork) in JSMO from the point of view of the respondents were all high and that there is an impact for job enrichment of content on the characteristics of the learning organization in the JSMO. This research contributes valuable insights to academia and practitioners, offering empirical evidence of the pivotal role of job enrichment in fostering a conducive environment for learning and development within organizational settings. Recommendations stemming from this study advocate for the strategic integration and sustenance of job enrichment practices to fortify the learning organization ethos within JSMO, thereby nurturing a more agile and knowledge-centric organizational culture.
