Exploring the Intersection of Archaeology and Artificial Intelligence
摘要
This study explores the intersection of archaeology and artificial intelligence (AI) and its implications for the field. The purpose of the study was to investigate the applications, methodologies, and outcomes of integrating AI technologies in archaeology. A qualitative approach was employed, including a literature review of relevant scholarly articles and publications. Data was collected through a systematic search of academic databases, and inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to select the appropriate studies. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify key concepts and themes related to the use of AI in archaeology. The study found that AI offers innovative solutions and enhances traditional archaeological methods by enabling the processing of large datasets, analysis of complex patterns, and automation of tasks. AI also contributes to the preservation and documentation of cultural heritage through the creation of 3D representations, artifact identification, and excavation documentation. The study recommends further exploration and utilization of AI in archaeology, while emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the recognition that AI is a tool that complements human expertise and interpretation.
