摘要

Language learning currently encompasses more than grammar and vocabulary. It integrates dynamic social behaviors and cultural contexts. Learner-centered methods for EFL strongly emphasize on critical analysis, cultural awareness, and technology integration to develop immersive learning environments. Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory promotes students’ involvement through meaningful and content-based language instruction by linking language learning to authentic circumstances. Furthermore, given the necessity of critical communication skills in the post-truth digital era, students must be capable of assessing the credibility of information, navigating the impacts of digital media, and participating in updated discourses. This underscores the changing role of language in influencing social norms and promoting meaningful communication.
