摘要

Critical thinking and a thorough comprehension of how the media shapes attitudes and power dynamics are two ways CML differs from conventional media literacy. To enable individuals to participate in media production and critical assessment—necessary for knowledgeable engagement with society—CML promotes investigation, analysis, evaluation, and engaged discussion of media messages. Concurrently, media literacy frameworks evolve to address digital media challenges and information abundance. CML integrates into education, enhancing students’ abilities to critically assess media, engage critically, and navigate the dynamic media landscape. Emerging approaches in CML education emphasize fostering critical thinking and creativity and examining media’s societal impacts. Educators employ diverse methodologies such as dialogic learning, media arts, and reflective media production to enable effective deconstruction of media messages. These practices highlight CML’s evolution in effectively preparing students to navigate today’s complex media landscape.
