Determining Factors for EU Cooperation on Readmission and Return
摘要
The research questions are situated within the existing literature on actorness and external migration governance, deriving the macro concepts dependence on the EU, domestic context and incentives to explain EU cooperation on readmission and return. These concepts form the foundation for the analytical framework used in this study, which employs Qualitative Comparative AnalysisQualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) (QCA). From the macro concepts, conditions are derived that shall equally explain cooperation on readmission and return: migration flow, democracy, administrative capacity, existing relations, economic dependence, bilateral readmission cooperation and financial and legal migration incentives. Theoretical expectations are presented to show the relationship with the concepts under investigation.
