Unpacking EU Cooperation on Readmission and Return
摘要
This introduction delves into the empirical, conceptual and theoretical dynamics at the core of the EU's cooperation on readmission and return with non-EU countries. Differing from existing research, this book conceptualises and assesses readmission and return policy separately to investigate differences, including the impact of the EU’s readmission policy on the EU’s return policy. This is followed by introducing the research design based on set theory and fsQCA methodology. The relevance of the topic derives from the prominence of readmission and return within EU migration cooperation with non-EU countries and the EU’s claims to ‘effectiveness’ of the policy.
