The Role of Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (Plasmapheresis) in Aging
摘要
Aging increases the risk of tissue degeneration and disrupts molecular and cellular homeostasis, leading to the onset of many age-related diseases. Animal studies involving heterochronic parabiosis suggest that human aging is influenced by systemic molecular excess associated with aging. Recent studies of old plasma dilution through therapeutic apheresis (TA) confirm these findings in humans and support a global shift toward a younger systemic environment.
