Rural and Other Minority Populations

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted extant disparities between various population sub-groups. Minority and rural populations were adversely affected across dimensions of healthcare access, vaccine supply, misinformation, health literacy, and attitudes toward vaccination. The chapter discusses these issues and highlights strategies for mitigating and improving vaccine rates among the affected groups.
