Side Effect: Vaccination Fatigue
摘要
Messaging can produce fatigue, especially when ongoing and repetitive. The receiver, in this case, the vaccinee, may simply be exhausted from the redundancy. Since there are no single sources for messages about vaccination, there is no way to control a firehose effect. The results are unsuccessful or counterproductive. In some cases, fatigue might even transfer from one vaccine to another. In this case, today’s failures in messaging will be transferred to another set of vaccines over a completely different vaccine. Fatigue is a side effect like no other and will need to be resolved before the new epidemics requiring a vaccine are upon us.
