The purpose of this textbook (i.e., the ‘text’) is to provide recommendations for the design and installation of drag anchors and plate anchors for taut, semi-taut or catenary mooring systems. This guidance is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable Class Rules relating to the building and classification of offshore installations (OI), the applicable Class Rules relating to the building and classing floating production installations (FPI), the applicable Class Rules relating to the building and classing floating offshore wind turbine installations (FOWTI), and the applicable Class Rules relating to the building and classing mobile offshore drilling units (MODU).
