The presentation spectrum of facial paralysis ranges from flaccid to synkinesis, while some patients less commonly present with weakness as the main component. This chapter focuses on the most common dynamic procedures used in the management of flaccid facial paralysis, while bearing in mind the guiding principles of timing of intervention based on duration of paralysis, the presence or absence of facial nerve continuity, and sometimes the etiology.
