Tibial neuropathy could occur from nerve entrapment at the soleal arch or tarsal tunnel. The nerve can be decompressed at either of these two locations. Cases with a vascular component may require decompression of the popliteal artery as well with the resection of plantaris and fascia underlying soleus. Morton’s neuroma is a misnomer and should be treated as an entrapment by releasing the intermetatarsal ligament.
