Soeken, Gertrud (1897–1978)

Gertrud Soeken graduated in medicine in 1921. In 1933, she joined the Nazi party and subsequently numerous further Nazi organizations. She promoted the Nazi ideology and conducted research on the brains of murdered children. Whether or not she was directly involved in killing patients remains unclear. After the war, under the jurisdiction of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), she was prohibited from practicing medicine.
