Schwabe, Gisela (1917–2010)

  • Edzard Ernst

摘要

Gisela Schwabe studied medicine and, in 1938, joined the Nazi Party. She suffered from schizophrenia and depression. From September to December 1944, she worked in the ward for newborns in the ‘Kinderkrankenhaus Rothenburgsort’. There she is said to have killed three of her patients. The murders at the KKR were investigated after the war, but none of the doctors involved was found guilty. Schwabe thus continued to practice medicine but, due to her illness, retired early.
