Hübsch, Margarethe (1903–1983)

Margarethe Hübsch studied medicine in Vienna and specialized in neurology/psychiatry. After several other employments, she worked in the Viennese hospital ‘Am Spiegelgrund’, where she became first the deputy and then the interim medical director. Close to 800 children were murdered in the special children’s ward of this institution. After the war, Hübsch had to stand trial but was acquitted and permitted to continue practicing medicine.
