Fauser, Martha (1889–1975)

Martha Fauser graduated in medicine from Tübingen university in 1925. She joined the Nazi partyNazi party in 1937 and became the acting director of the ZiefaltenZiefalten asylum in 1940. She was responsible for transferring around 400 patients to the GrafeneckGrafeneck killing centre and is alleged to have personally murdered patients. After the war, she was found guilty and sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She was then allowed to practice medicine, and she did so until she retired in 1953.
