The Impact of Incentives Granted to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises on Economic Growth
摘要
The aim of this study is to determine the impact of incentives granted to small and medium-sized enterprises on economic growth in Jordan, using descriptive analysis of study variables through measures of central tendency (mean, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum values). Additionally, the study tested its hypotheses through the application of multiple regression analysis. The study variables consisted of the independent variable, which is the ratio of incentives granted to small and medium-sized enterprises for the period (2016–2023), represented by quartile values extending until the first quarter of 2023. The GDP (2016–2023), which was also represented by quartile values up until the first quarter of 2023, served as the dependent variable for economic growth. The study revealed a number of findings, one of which was that small company funding contributes to Jordan's economic expansion. It was discovered that an increase in small business funding of 1% results in an increase in economic growth of 0.35 percent. According to the report, granting small firms access to financing can boost entrepreneurship, innovation, employment, and productivity while also fostering economic growth in Jordan. The report advised that decision-makers take into account creating policies that improve small businesses’ access to finance in order to encourage economic growth, as well as giving medium and small-sized businesses the essential support in order to boost the economy and spur growth in particular.
