In the rapidly evolving landscape of remote work and the digital transformation of higher education, this research explores the positive impact of e-leadership competencies on virtual team performance within the unique context of Jordanian universities. Utilizing a cross-sectional design, the research delves into the experiences of 325 faculty members in Jordanian universities who engage in virtual teamwork. The findings highlight that e-leadership competencies play a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among geographically dispersed academic teams, thus virtual team performance.
