Theory of Waveguides
摘要
The propagation in waveguides is studied here using analytical and numerical models. Among them are the separation of variables method and the transverse resonance technique. The engineering formulas obtained by the conformal method for the most used integrated transmission lines are given, and their accuracy limitations are considered. The approximate methods are represented here by the finite difference and finite difference time domain techniques, transmission line matrix method, finite element method, and the integral equation models of transmission lines. They are studied in more detail, including examples of several planar and planar multi-layered integrated lines. 119 references are given for readers who wish to learn more about the EM theory of waveguides and transmission lines. 23 figures are included in the text.
