Technological advances and the widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have sparked a revolution with profound social and personal implications. The proliferation of AI devices, involving millions of users and generating valuable feedback for model optimisation, highlights the continuing expansion of this phenomenon. The impact of AI in education is particularly significant, where its applications promise to transform learning and teaching. However, the current level of understanding and adoption of AI for educational purposes (AIED) is limited, and most teachers lack adequate training to use it effectively. The aim of this article is to explore how the use of AI devices in schools can support student learning, to analyse the reliability and effectiveness of these tools in solving logical–linguistic and scientific problems, and to discuss how teachers can use AIED in a pedagogically aware way.
