Assuming a good characterizing model for the noise affecting quantum information can be challenging. A highly generic one can be described as the evolution \(\mathcal {N}\) on an d-dimensional system, where a state of interest \(\sigma \) evolves together with the environment in a state \(\rho \) [1].
