Writing Up Your Meta-Analysis

  • Richard Cooke

摘要

The aim of this chapter is to provide advice on how to write up the results of your meta-analysis for submission to an academic journal. For example, meta-analytic papers have very different methods and results sections, reflecting that results come from more than one sample. Methods are reported following PRISMA guidelines, including a citation to a pre-registered protocol for the systematic search that informed the meta-analysis. Protocols are typically published on either PROSPERO or the Open Science Framework to increase transparency and enable replication of results. Drawing on my papers, I’ll offer hints and tips about writing up results of a meta-analysis that help address the questions you will have about this process.
