The nerve-draining veins are basically distinguished into extratrunkal and intratrunkal ones. The latter the distinguished into epineural, perineural, and endoneural ones. All of them are connected with many anastomoses, and their presence explains the changes during thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, trauma, or varicosis.
