Sources of Innervation of the Upper Limb Superficial and Deep Veins

The sources of basilic vein vascular nerves are usually the medial cutaneous brachial and antebrachial nerves. The number of branches and their innervation pattern differ. The cephalic vein usually receives the vascular innervation from the radial and musculocutaneous nerve branches, which differ in number and participation. The vascular nerves receive the vessels from the innervated vessel. The upper limb deep vessels are usually innervated from the median, ulnar, and rarely the musculocutaneous or radial nerves with various possible anastomoses.
