Seven mathematical haikus

Often, in Mathematics, we have to work very hard to prove theorems and, being lucky, one encounters complicated proofs which require also a lot of efforts from their possible readers. It is a rare success to find a clever and short proof of a remarkable mathematical statement. Let us call mathematical haikus those precious gifts from the Muses, of which most mathematicians surely treasure several examples. The following are some of my favorites.
