摘要

In this chapter we delve into the migration-housing-employment-household histories of each lodger. We assert that lodging creates micro, local, and translocal communities. We engage translocality as a lens through which to explore mobility and place. We present the overall translocal migration trends for lodgers and how these differ by age cohort and by gender for rural–rural, rural–urban, urban–urban, same urban, and urban–rural trajectories. We then explore individual migration stories as characterized by the political period in which the first migration from place of birth occurred. We then differentiate how migrations varied by period, and also identify the continued prevalence and impacts of child marriage.
