The Interventional Cytopathologist
摘要
Currently, ultrasound-guided (USG) fine-needle aspiration (FNA) is universally accepted as a simple, inexpensive, accurate, safe, and rapid technique that yields valuable information for adequate clinical management. This chapter describes in detail the steps involved in making an accurate cytologic interpretation, including clinical evaluation, ultrasound examination, USG-FNA and USG-core needle biopsy approach (perpendicular, parallel), and specimen handling. The text is supplemented with relevant video clips, figures, and references.
