Recent Advances in Additive Manufacturing Technologies

The undisputed trait of modern technology is its vulnerability to obsolescence. This has been true in the past decades, where such technologies can be freshly introduced one day, while the next is surpassed by a more popular and more advanced version. With this in mind, this chapter compiles the latest ideas and available technologies in sustainable additive manufacturing. The authors spared no effort in ensuring that the reader is exposed to cutting-edge technologies during the time of writing this book. The objective, as with other parts of this book, is to provoke the imagination of the reader into trying out these technologies and to be inspired by them to have their own experience applied to their projects. Moreover, the novelty is assessed in the contribution to various newly charted fields for additive manufacturing, such as medical and culinary applications.
