Leveraging Business Intelligence for Enhanced Financial Performance: The Mediating Effect of Supply Chain Integration
摘要
This study examines the critical role of business intelligence (BI) in supply chain integration (SCI) and its subsequent impact on organizational financial performance (OFP) in the Jordanian manufacturing sectors. Driven by the increasing importance of data-driven decision-making, research integrates the resource-based view (RBV) with dynamic capability (DC) theory to explain how BI and SCI together contribute to improving OFP. Using partial least squares-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with a robust sample of 209 companies, the findings reveal a significant positive impact of BI on SCI. The study also confirms that SCI positively impacts OFP, highlighting the value of integrated supply chains for achieving operational efficiencies. Furthermore, SCI mediates the relationship between BI and OFP, highlighting the role of SCI in translating BI capabilities into exceptional OFP. The moderation effect of environmental dynamism (ED) on BI-SCI relationships highlights the importance of adapting to dynamic markets. These findings contribute to the literature by demonstrating how BI enhances OFP through effective SCI and provide useful insights for companies aiming to use BI for competitive advantage.
