The Fourth Industrial Revolution, known as Industry 4.0, is often described as one of the current leading trends that is not only changing the management of companies but the whole society. Industry 4.0 is often represented by the implementation of new technologies and, thus, changes in business processes. Adapting to these changes depends on the new skills, knowledge, and qualifications of employees involved in performing activities in business processes. This also relates to the need to change the approach to human capital management to ensure sufficient qualifications and skills of the employees. The results of our study show the level of preparedness for Industry 4.0 from the point of view of required skills and qualifications in the sample of 180 companies operating in the Slovak Republic.
