摘要

This literature review comprehensively analyzes Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) in the context of holistic organizational enhancement. CMMI, a widely adopted process model, aims to bolster organizational performance, efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. Key findings underscore CMMI's adaptability as a flexible framework with the capacity to address generic organizational issues while permitting customization for unique needs. However, its complexity can pose implementation challenges and require substantial time and resources. The integration of CMMI with methodologies like Agile and Lean Six Sigma offers potential benefits but demands strategic planning to surmount associated hurdles. Future research should target enhancing CMMI's adaptability and integrative potential, exploring simplified models for broader accessibility and specialized versions for specific industries. Investigating the integration of CMMI with emerging methodologies like Agile and addressing cultural, resistance, and measurement challenges is crucial. Furthermore, applying CMMI in developing countries presents a promising avenue, demanding research into tailored solutions, cost-effective strategies, and case studies from diverse contexts to stimulate economic growth and industry advancement. Research gaps highlight the need for further investigation into areas such as practical CMMI-Agile integration, adoption in small organizations, applicability in developing countries, and a comprehensive analysis of ROI and implementation costs. Lastly, CMMI remains a valuable tool for enhancing processes and maturity levels. Successful implementation requires a deep understanding of its potential and challenges. Ongoing research will continue shaping CMMI as an effective framework for holistic organizational enhancement, fostering improved quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.
