AI-Enabled Green Procurement Strategies’ Effectiveness in Building a Sustainable Service Industry in Abu Dhabi

This study aims to identify the factors which affect Abu Dhabi’s AI-enabled green procurement strategies and their effectiveness. It also examines the impact of these strategies in building a sustainable service industry in Abu Dhabi. A survey of 172 senior management representatives from the service industry of Abu-Dhabi was performed. The findings indicate a significant influence of the identified factors of cost, organizational leadership, awareness, training programs, availability of raw materials, and availability of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies on AI-enabled green procurement strategies’ effectiveness. A positive correlation could be seen between AI-enabled green procurement strategies’ effectiveness and building a sustainable service industry in Abu-Dhabi. Recognizing the relevance of these strategies, it is recommended to invest more in AI-enabled green procurement strategies which would enable the UAE to meet its sustainability goals.
