Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė

Dalia Grybauskaitė was active in the financial and debt crisis and the Ukraine crisis. All the national factors were enabling, so she used an uncooperative pacesetting leadership style, using her own example to lead others while overseeing the whole process. In the European Council, she adjusted her leadership style to a mixture of pacesetting, coercive, and visionary leadership styles which proved motivating for her peers, particularly in the Ukraine crisis.
