This chapter focuses on the contemporary phase of bullfighting, which is already conceived as a spectacle where different adjustments are developed in response to the population’s sensitivity patterns. The issue of sensitivity is central to understanding different changes in the lide, e.g., act of bullfighting, as well as the debate around the idea of civilisation that bullfighting gives rise to.
