C1—Open Bite Deformity
摘要
An open bite can occur in both the anterior and posterior regions of the jaws. The open bite can be the result of a malfunction (thumb sucking, pacifier, tongue malfunction, etc.) or have a skeletal genetic basis. The open bite can be associated with all positional disorders of the jaws. Clinically, a gap between the rows of teeth can be recognized despite jaw closure. Bimaxillary corrections are required to achieve stable results, especially in the case of genetic forms.
