In this chapter, a thorough analysis is discussed to examine the impact of noise pollution on the orientation of migratory marine mammals and its broader implications for reproduction and other essential ecological activities. This chapter delves into the detrimental effects of anthropogenic noise sources, including vessel traffic, seismic exploration, and industrial activities, on the behavior and physiology of migratory marine species such as whales, dolphins, and seals. The analysis begins by exploring how noise pollution interferes with the acoustic communication and navigation abilities of marine mammals, disrupting their ability to detect prey, communicate with conspecifics, and navigate over long distances during migration.
