The Wild South: Bedouins and Organized Crime in the Negev

This chapter focuses on Bedouin criminal families in the Negev and Sinai, their relationships with each other and with other Arab and Jewish criminal organizations, their specialization as ‘professional smugglers’ and involvement in other criminal activities in the south of Israel, and their relationship with Israeli authorities, including law enforcement, municipalities, and the Shabak.
