This chapter describes the next bad leader on the spectrum, the abusive, destructive leader. This leader is not as bad as the dark triad leader and does not have a personality disorder. They are also known as petty tyrants and toxic leaders. They have more empathy than the dark triad, but not much. They still create poor outcomes for their subordinates and organizations, such as high turnover, and low organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and job performance.
