Technology-Assisted Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder

New technologies have been instrumental in the advancement of medicine. The field of addiction has seen implementation of effective pharmacological and therapeutic interventions. As technology becomes part of everyday living, more studies and initiatives in both academia and private industry are creating tools to treat illness or enhance already existing therapies. In this chapter, we describe the current landscape of mobile health applications, online platforms, hardware, and neuromodulation in the context of alcohol use disorder.
