Linguistic Cues of Confidence and Uncertainty in Financial Decision-Making Negotiations

  • Mohammed Al-Badawi

摘要

This paper uses linguistic analysis, namely linguistic cues of confidence and uncertainty, to understand the subtleties of negotiation in financial decision-making. The study investigates how language patterns can predict the rate of concessions and the outcomes of negotiations. It also looks at the linguistic strategies used by negotiators and their impact on decision-making, and discusses the nuances of linguistic modality in showing confidence and uncertainty, challenging conventional assumptions and offering insights into professional communication in the legal and financial domains. The research offers practical implications for negotiation training and strategy development.
