The Impact of the Green Supply Chain Management Practices on the Social Performance of Pharmaceutical Industries

This study aimed to explore the impact of green supply chain management practices on the social performance of pharmaceutical industries in Jordan. It sought to conduct an empirical analysis to understand how the adoption of environmentally sustainable supply chain practices affects various aspects of social responsibility within pharmaceutical companies operating in Jordan. Data were collected through structured surveys conducted on 257 employees of pharmaceutical companies in Jordan. The survey instrument was used to assess perceptions of green supply chain management practices, social performance indicators, and related factors such as community engagement, employee well-being, and ethical sourcing. It is expected that SEM analysis will be used to study the direct effects of green supply chain management practices on social performance outcomes. The results showed a positive impact of green supply chain management practices on the social performance of pharmaceutical industries in Jordan. The contribution of this study lies in its empirical exploration of the relationship between green supply chain management practices and social performance in the pharmaceutical industry in Jordan, providing practical guidance for companies in this sector to enhance their contribution to social responsibility, increase stakeholder trust, and promote sustainable development in the communities they serve.
