The Big Data Journey: Mapping the Path of Adoption Through Bibliometric Analysis
摘要
In today’s data-driven era, both individuals and organizations produce vast amounts of data, making big data indispensable. Its value extends beyond just the volume; it lies in how data is processed and analyzed to provide valuable insights. This study uses bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer software and data from the Web of Science (WoS) database to uncover important trends in big data adoption. By analyzing the titles of scholarly articles using keywords related to big data adoption, this method has reviewed developments and contributions in the field across 690 publications. The analysis has identified key geographical and thematic trends that are crucial for guiding future research and practical applications of big data. This bibliometric review is vital as it outlines the landscape of big data research, influencing subsequent studies and implementations.
