摘要

It has been realized that learners of a second language often meet numerous problems during the learning process. A collection of essays written by Arabic native speakers learning English as a second language was collected and inspected to explore this issue. The study concludes that Jordanian Arab Learners learning a second language commonly utilize words incorrectly due to numerous factors, including the confusion of synonymous words, the influence of their first language, making broad generalizations, difficulties with word blends, and the interplay between meaning and other aspects of the language.
