Humanistic Approach Toward Environmental Issues in Public Film Policies

The need for public policy solutions to support a green transition of the film sector is now a topical issue. It means having the film industry meet its legal obligations, adopt green tools including carbon calculators, and reconsider the prospects resulting from greening the film industry. In this chapter, we deal with sustainable management of film production based on tangible green film policy solutions. We also discuss the green filming-related measures of public film policy in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Poland, to understand their role in the development of environmentally sustainable filmmaking. In the concluding section of the chapter, we suggest implications and perspectives for future research regarding greening public policy on filming.
