The Humanistic Dimension of Project Team Management in Projectified Public Organizations
摘要
Project management is becoming the leading method of task implementation in the public sector. The ongoing process of projectification (Jacobsson and Jałocha, International Journal of Managing Projects in Business 14:1583–1604, 2021; Midler, Scandinavian Management Journal 11:363–375, 1995) changes both the working methods and the ethos of the public sector. It may seem that activities carried out in the form of short one-off projects are not conducive to building deep relationships between coworkers and the organizationalOrganizational culture of support and care for employees. However, this chapter discusses an example that allows us to understand the humanistic dimension of project management in the public sector. Based on qualitative research carried out in a public Polish organization, the study shows how teamwork in projects can be carried out with care for other people and allow the building of lasting relationships in the organization.
