The Basics of Electrodiagnostic Testing
摘要
Electrodiagnostic tests measure the speed and strength at which electrical impulses travel within and between muscles and nerves. Electrodiagnostic studies can be crucial resources in the diagnosis, differentiation, and monitoring of ocular health. There are three electrodiagnostic tests to consider in visual electrodiagnostic testing: visual evoked potential, electrooculogram, and electroretinogram. Like other techniques, results can be inconclusive. Still, electrodiagnostic testing should regularly be explored for hereditary and acquired retinal conditions and beyond.
