Imagine the brain as a complex system that continuously receives and processes information. This process has two main sources: the stimulus (information you are perceiving now) and memory (data you learned from previous experiences). How is the stimulus represented as input information? How is the result of information processing stored in memory? What can a network organization of memory data explain? We will argue that, in the input interaction, the stimulus affects the brain/mind and changes its state. Accordingly, sensory information is a relation of state and effect data. Conceptually, the organization of network memory allows for a similar interpretation of stored data. Memory elements that are connected can be subject to comparison. Data shared by, and that are different, can be interpreted as state and effect relation. The identical interpretation of input and memory information allows for a uniform data representation.
