Electrocatalyst Design for Chlorine Evolution Reaction
摘要
The electrochemical chlorine evolution reaction (CER) is elementary reaction and commonly used for the conversion of Cl− to Cl2 in a seawater environment. Various precious metal based electrocatalyst and different design strategies have been utilized for engineering of CER electrocatalyst but most of the proposed materials fundamentally suffer from a selectivity problem between the CER and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Hence, research and development of selective CER electrocatalysts vitally necessary. In this perspective, in this chapter, some advances CER electrocatalysts with superior performance was outlined.
