Electrocatalyst Design for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
摘要
Development of highly efficient, stable, and cost effective electrocatalysts to meet the needs of highly effective green hydrogen production from seawater splitting is still challenging. In this perspective, some advances electrocatalysts with superior performance, such as noble metal based electrocatalysts, carbon incorporated noble metals based electrocatalysts, metal phosphides based electrocatalysts, metal oxides and hydroxides based electrocatalysts, transition metal carbides (TMCs) based electrocatalysts, transition metal phosphides based electrocatalysts, transition metal chalcogenides based electrocatalysts, metal nitrides based electrocatalysts, and etc., have been synthesized for hydrogen production from the seawater splitting. In order to gain insight into the current advancement on electrocatalysts for seawater hydrogen evolution reaction, this chapter briefly epitomize the general design criteria for electrocatalysts in seawater hydrogen evolution reaction in recent years.
